Beyond his acclaimed work in interior design, Ahmad AKL has carved a distinguished path as a visionary digital artist and Arabic calligrapher. His artistic journey began in 2000 with his debut solo exhibition, marking the inception of a profound creative evolution. Since then, he has presented seven solo exhibitions, each unveiling a deeper exploration of his artistic identity and an ever-evolving mastery of form and expression.
AKL’s artistry transcends conventional boundaries, seamlessly weaving together traditional painting, digital innovation, and the timeless elegance of Arabic calligraphy. His works serve as a bridge between heritage and modernity, infusing classical scripts with contemporary techniques to create compositions that are both visually captivating and culturally resonant.
Renowned for his intricate calligraphic designs and reimagining of Arabic letterforms, AKL masterfully balances the essence of the past with the dynamism of the present. His distinctive approach has garnered widespread recognition, making his pieces highly sought after by collectors and art connoisseurs alike.
المسيرة الفنية والمعارض
إلى جانب تميزه في مجال التصميم الداخلي، شقَّ أحمد عقل طريقه كفنان رقمي بارع وخطاط عربي مبدع. انطلقت رحلته الفنية عام 2000 مع أول معرض فردي له، ليكون بداية لمسيرة إبداعية متجددة. منذ ذلك الحين، قدَّم سبعة معارض فردية، جسّدت كل منها تطور رؤيته الفنية وتعمّقه في أساليب التعبير البصري.
يتجاوز إبداع عقل الحدود التقليدية، حيث يمزج بسلاسة بين الرسم التقليدي والفن الرقمي وسحر الخط العربي. أعماله تشكّل جسراً بين الأصالة والحداثة، حيث يعيد إحياء الحروف العربية بأساليب معاصرة، ما يمنحها بُعدًا فنيًا جديدًا يجمع بين الجمال البصري والعمق الثقافي.
يتميّز عقل بتصاميمه الخطية المتقنة وإبداعه في إعادة تفسير الخطوط العربية التقليدية بأسلوب معاصر، ما جعله يحظى باهتمام واسع في الأوساط الفنية. تُعتبر أعماله من بين الأكثر طلبًا لدى هواة جمع الفن وعشّاق الجمال البصري.

This exhibition comprised 35 artworks and presented a poetic and conceptual homage to Ishtar, the ancient Mesopotamian goddess of love, fertility, and war.
The works explored the symbolic and emotional dimensions of love, devotion, and feminine power, drawing from historical mythology while engaging with a contemporary artistic language.
Through experimental visual approaches, the exhibition reinterpreted inherited cultural narratives, merging calligraphy, visual art, and symbolism to create a dialogue between the ancient and the modern.
The focus remained on conceptual depth and expressive meaning, rather than on traditional form alone.
“Bitakat Hobb Ila Ashtar” stood as an artistic tribute that transformed myth into a living visual experience, affirming the continuity of cultural memory and its relevance within contemporary art practice.
The exhibition opened with songs by the late Iraqi artist and dear friend Sahar Taha, followed by musical performances and a live music presentation by Ziad Sahhab with his band.
بطاقات حب إلى عشتار – مسرح المدينة 2003
ضمّ هذا المعرض 35 عملاً فنياً، وقدّم تحيّة شعرية ومفهومية إلى عشتار، إلهة الحب والخصب والحرب في حضارات بلاد الرافدين. تناولت الأعمال الأبعاد الرمزية والوجدانية للحب، والأنوثة، والقوة، مستلهمةً الأسطورة القديمة ضمن خطاب بصري معاصر.
جاء المعرض تحية لبغداد قبل احتلالها و تحية للمرأة العراقية و العربية
شكّل معرض «بطاقات حب إلى عشتار» تجربة فنية حوّلت الأسطورة إلى حضور بصري حيّ، مؤكداً على استمرارية الذاكرة الحضارية وقدرتها على التفاعل مع الفن المعاصر.
